Udyam Aadhaar is a unique Identification number which is allotted to Micro / Small / Medium (MSMEs) scale Industries based on their criteria.
An Industry shall be classified as Micro/Small/Medium Industry on the basis of the following conditions.
A Micro industry where the investment in plant and machinery is less than or equal to one crore rupees and turnover is less than or equal five crore rupees.
A Small Industry, where the Investment in Plant and Machinery is less than or equal to Ten Crore Rupees and Turnover is less than or equal to Fifty Crore Rupees.
A Medium Industry, where the Investment in Plant and Machinery is less than or equal to Fifty Crore Rupees and turnover is less than or equal to Two Hundred and Fifty Crore Rupees.
Udyam Registration is a government portal for MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) to register and obtain recognition as an MSME under the Ministry of MSME.
It helps businesses avail government schemes, subsidies, and other benefits specifically designed for MSMEs. It also provides official recognition and credibility.
Any individual, proprietor, partnership firm, company, or any type of enterprise engaged in manufacturing or services can apply for Udyam Registration.
Yes, existing businesses already registered under EM-II or UAM must re-register under the Udyam Registration system to continue receiving MSME benefits
Yes, Udyam Registration requires Aadhaar for proprietors/authorized signatories and PAN details for the business to ensure authentication.
