A Digital Signature is a cryptographic technique used to sign the documents or any of the transaction digitally.
There are different types of Digital Signatures used at different stages.
In case of DGFT transactions, digital signature comes with IEC Number embedded in it to file the Online Application in DGFT Website.
DGFT Digital Signature can be taken by any authorized person form the Origination by submitting the relevant documents to the issuing authority. The validity of digital signature will be 2 years.
In case of Customs Transactions like ICEGATE Registration, AD and IFSC Code Updating in Ports, etc., Class III Sign & Encrpy. Digital signature is required.
Class III Sign & Encryp. Digital Signature can be taken by any individual or authorized person form the Origination by submitting the relevant documents to the issuing authority. The validity of digital signature will be 2 years.
A DSC is an electronic form of a signature used to authenticate the identity of an individual or business for online transactions and government filings.
It ensures secure online communication, protects data integrity, and is mandatory for various filings like DGFT, MCA, Income Tax, and GST.
Any individual, company, or organization that needs to file statutory documents online or authenticate digital communications can apply for a DSC.
Common types include Class 2 and Class 3 DSCs, where Class 3 is widely used for DGFT, MCA, GST, and other high-security transactions.
A DSC is used in e-tendering, e-filing with MCA or Income Tax, GST registration, DGFT services, and various other secure digital platforms.
